When Love Comes Late Chapter: 2377

Betsey called out after her, “Stella, if you had the guts to pull off something that sneaky, why are you freaking out over a little gossip now?”

Stella rushed straight to Clint’s place.

She opened the door and stepped inside, noticing the empty living room. Without hesitation, she headed upstairs, but the study was empty, and the bedroom was, too.

She was about to make another call when the sound of heavy breathing drifted out from the bathroom.

Stella’s chest clenched as she hurried inside, only to find Clint sprawled on the floor, barely awake.

“Grandpa!”

Stella tried to lift him, but she just didn’t have the strength.

In her panic, the butler appeared, clearly shocked by what he saw.

Stella said, her heart racing, “Quick, help me Lift him up.”

They both took Clint to the hospital.

The quiet hospital ward held a faint smell of antiseptic in the air.

Clint lay on the bed, his face ashen.

After examining him, the doctor said he had fallen and hit his head.

There were no immediate concerns, but given his age and some existing health issues, they needed to wait for him to wake up to check for any possible aftereffects.

Stella sat next to the bed, her face filled with concern.

She stared at Clint, silently hoping he would wake up soon.

The butler stepped aside, clearly regretful. “This is all my fault. I shouldn’t have gone out to buy groceries by myself. If I had been there, Mr. Anderson wouldn’t have fallen.”

Stella turned to the butler and said softly, “It’s not your fault. It was just an accident; don’t blame yourself too much.”

She asked the butler to go home and bring back some clean clothes.

“Please go home and grab some of his clean clothes.”

The butler nodded and walked out of the room. Stella was alone with Clint, her heart torn with anxiety and unease.

Just then, the phone in her hand buzzed. Stella glanced at it and saw that it was a call from Sanford.

She picked up, and Sanford’s voice came through. “Stella, where are you? Do you need help?”

Stella suddenly realized she was still using Sanford’s phone. She replied, “Clint fell, and I’m at the hospital.”

Sanford said, “I’ll come over,” and then hung up.

By the time Sanford arrived, Clint still hadn’t woken up. Sanford walked in with Lunch and set the Lunch box on the table. He asked with concern, “How’s your grandfather?”

Stella shook her head. “He still hasn’t woken up.”
