When Love Comes Late Chapter: 2460

Pamela, the youngest daughter of a rich businessman from Lyllmann, had known Sanford since childhood and had a secret crush for him, She loved him so much that she underwent cosmetic surgery for him. Then, during her time studying overseas, she became good friends with Lindsay.

Pamela’s eyes were filled with enmity as she said coldly, “I question the authenticity of your invitation.”

Stella knitted her brows, convinced she had never met this woman before and unsure who she was. But, the attendant’s respectful manner made it clear that this woman held significant status.

Stella instinctively looked to Bella for understanding, but Bella merely shook her head. She was equally confused and unfamiliar with the woman as well.

Seeing Stella being treated unfairly, Bennett stepped up without a second thought and positioned himself between Stella and Pamela. In a stern and just voice, he said, “How can you be so rude? Apologize to Stella right now!”

When Pamela heard Bennett’s demand, she responded with a haughty sniff and dismissively asked, “Do you even know who I am? How dare you ask me to apologize?”

She looked at Stella with disgust and added, “I’ve heard Leonard has been lingering in Seamarsh because of a woman. Lindsay told me this Stella Anderson is no good, a married woman who seduces other men.”

Stella’s temper ignited at these accusations. She snapped back sharply, “I don’t know what you’re talking about. If you can’t explain yourself, I’d say you’re the one raised in the barn, without any manners!”

Pamela’s complexion turned a deep red as her rage boiled over at Stella’s retort. She turned toward Sanford, flipped her hair casually, and shot him a flirty look. “Leonard, it’s been a while.”

Both Stella and Bennett exchanged confused glances, puzzled by the name.

Sanford remained composed and corrected her. “You’re mistaking me for someone else.”

He then said to the attendant, “Tonight’s guests are leading figures in the design industry. It is inappropriate to have such an irrational person at this prestigious event. If this situation is beyond your control, I’m willing to intervene.”

Panic washed over Pamela.

After all the changes she had undergone to face Sanford, she had just finally gathered the courage to stand before him, so his dismissive attitude was a harsh blow.

Pamela protested, “I’m not wrong! Don’t you remember? I was at your seventh birthday, and you…”

However, Sanford interrupted her before she could continue, “already told you, you’ve mistaken me for someone else.”

Sanford’s expression was cold and firm, and his presence commanded silence.

Pamela tried to press on, but the coldness in his eyes made her shiver.

She hesitated and swallowed her next words.

Frustrated, she shot Stella a menacing look and warned her, “Just wait, I’ll show you I’m right!”

Just then, a clear, pleasant female voice intervened to ease the tension. “Pamela, why didn’t you wait for me?”

Stella turned toward the voice. Her expression tightened slightly when she saw Lindsay approaching in her wheelchair.

Stella glanced around instinctively but didn’t see Matthew. It left her with an odd feeling.

Was Lindsay here by herself?
